Cake Pan Conversion Calculator
Enter the pan your recipe was written for and the pan you want to use. We give the multiplier for every ingredient.
Result
- Multiply every ingredient by
- 1.56x
- Recipe pan area
- 50 sq in
- Your pan area
- 79 sq in
- Eggs (if recipe uses 3)
- 4.7
Bigger pans often need a lower oven temperature (about 25°F lower) and longer baking. Check doneness with a skewer rather than the recipe time.
How this calculator works
Round area = pi x (diameter / 2) squared, square area = side squared, rectangle = length x width. Multiplier = your pan area / recipe pan area, assuming both pans are the same depth.
